UNIV: The Event that had Everyone Talking




    So, we recently held the first UNIV Leaders Conference in Kenya and it was such blast! It was impressive to witness how global leaders could sit with each other and contemplate on how to solve the various issues affecting the society at large. 'My Small Ideas Change the World' was the driving motto for the conference and we could see how those small ideas contributed immensely in developing the solutions for solving these issues.

    The four-day event was held at GBS Tv Africa headquarters near Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi Kenya. We had International leaders all the way from South Korea spearhead the conference and bring it to fruition. It was truly amazing to also see how our very own leaders could brainstorm and come up with viable solutions. 

    The event was like none other held before and it worked in involving people from all walks of life regardless of age, social and economic status. The popular phase 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' was clearly showcased as we were able to derive the most incredible ideas from the most looked down upon members of the society. It was breathtaking to see how passionate people were about eradicating these issues which had caused a significant amount of damage not only in our society but in the entire nation as a whole.

    
    The International leaders had also scheduled a nation-wide tour where they got to visit various towns and institutions to enlighten them on the same. This way, they could have many people join the movement and establish long-term solutions that will eventually change the world. Through this event, we could learn that we don't need to come up with enormous ideas in order to create change but even the minute of ideas can impact lives tremendously.

    Leadership is a commonly used phrase that carries a lot of weight if you think about it deeply. The success of a nation is proportional to its mode of governance. Hence, the UNIV Leaders Conference was an eye-opening opportunity to all those who attended to apply whatever they learnt during the event and apply it practically in order to experience positive change wherever they are situated.

    It is with sincere gratitude that Kenya was the first country to host the first UNIV Leaders Conference in Africa and we are hopeful that Kenya will set the pace and have other countries emulate it in order to create a happy and corruption-free world. Honestly speaking, change starts with you and if every individual is equipped with the right mindset, then all these global issues we are currently facing will eventually become a thing of the past.

My First Penniless Flight to S. Korea (2023)   I remember it vividly like it was yesterday. It was a friday morning, the 14th of July 2023. I had sat in the garden of our church compound together with my two sisters, Favour and Celine. Everyone else had received their passports expect Favour, Jackline and I hence we had gone to the garden to console ourselves and encourage each other.
